By: Arie Slob

You can remove the Find: On the Internet and Find: People from the Start menu:

  1. Start the Registry Editor
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ explorer \ Find Extensions \ Static
  3. Click on the + sign in front of the Static Key
  4. To remove the Find: On the Internet option, delete the InetFind Key
To remove the Find: People option, delete the WabFind Key

Note: We recommend making a backup of these keys first! Select the key you want to delete, and from the Registry Editor's menu choose Registry > Export Registry File. Give it a useful name and save it.

It is also possible to Remove Find Folder from Start Menu.

Note: You may not have these Find options, they are not default options but are installed by Internet Explorer 4.x and higher.
