Subscriptions not working in Internet Explorer 4
By: Arie SlobIf your Subscriptions are not updated, check if you have this key in your registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run
"Loadwc"="Loadwc.exe"
To check your registry:
- Start the Registry Editor
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run
- Check if the value "Loadwc"="Loadwc.exe" is present
If you don't have this value present, proceed as follows:
- Right-click an open area in the right pane and select New > String Value
- Name it Loadwc
- Double-click this entry and add the value Loadwc.exe
- Exit Regedit and restart Windows
Alternatively you can download this registry patch. Save it to your desktop, then just double-click to import the registry info in your registry.
