Enable Telephony Controls in Control Panel
If you are using a telephony based modem (unimodem) you can enable the telephony controls in control panel by renaming
TELEPHON.CP$ to TELEPHON.CPL in the \Windows\System directory. This will allow you to do diagnostics as well as configure your modem.
