Microsoft Posts Windows XP CD Burning Update
By: Arie SlobEarlier this month, Microsoft posted a CD Burning Update for Windows XP, to address several problems when burning a compact disc-recordable (CD-R) or a compact disc-rewritable (CD-RW) by using a compact disc recorder.
The updated addresses the issues discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q320174, Compact Disc Recorded in Windows XP Is Missing Files or Folders or Is Unreadable.
The update is available on the Windows Update Web site, or from Microsoft's Download site. The update is for both Windows XP Home Edition and Professional, and is 312 KB in size.
