Direct3D-Based Screen Saver Patch
By: Arie SlobMicrosoft posted a patch for Windows XP, to address the problem that if the 3D Flowerbox, 3D Flying Objects, 3D Pipes, 3D Text, or another Direct3D-based screen saver is running in Windows XP, the computer may be unable to enter standby or hibernation by using the timer in Power Management properties.
The update is available from Microsoft's Download site. The update is for both Windows XP Home Edition and Professional, and is 3.02MB in size.
This update will also be included in the upcomming Windows XP Service Pack 1.
