Windows Vista Slips to November?

Hello Windows users,
Early last week - for a few hours - an official Microsoft event blog announced:
"This is the year... the year that Microsoft releases the newest version of Windows. Yes, Vista will be released in November of this year."
After a few hours the entry on The Official Microsoft Connections Blog was changed to the standard company line "This is the year... the year that Microsoft releases the newest version of Windows. We are targeting to make Windows Vista generally available in the second half of this year, and the exact delivery date will ultimately be determined by the quality of the product.. "
There's also talk that the next Community Technical Preview (CTP) build which Microsoft originally planned to ship in April could be delayed till May. That CTP build should be the official Beta 2 which also will be made available to the public.
Seems Vista is going the same way as previous Operating System releases by Microsoft; delay after delay. One has to wonder if Vista will ship in 2006.
Microsoft SyncToy v1.1 for Windows XP
Computer users are storing their files & documents in different folders, drives, and even different computers. Files are coming from all kind of devices: camcorders, cell phones, digital cameras, e-mail, portable media players, PDAs, and laptops. Managing all these files is still largely a manual operation. In some cases it is necessary to move files from one place to another; in other cases there is a need to keep two storage locations exactly in sync. Some users manage files manually, dragging and dropping from one place to another and keeping a mental card catalog in their heads. Others use one or more applications of one sort or another to provide this functionality for them.
But now there is an easier way! SyncToy is a free PowerToy for Microsoft Windows XP that provides an easy to use, highly customizable program to help copy, move, and synchronize different directories. Most common operations can be performed with just a few clicks of the mouse, and additional customization is available without adding complexity. SyncToy can manage multiple sets of directories at the same time; it can combine files from two folders in one case, and mimic renames and deletes in another. Unlike other applications, SyncToy keeps track of renames to files and will make sure those changes get carried over to the synchronized folder.
