Hello Windows users,
 As you probably know, Microsoft Office XP will be available for purchase on May 31st. I decided to take a look at Office XP, and installed Microsoft Office XP Professional Corporate Preview Beta.
Office is such a massive collection of applications, and the individual applications have such a huge number of features, it is nearly impossible to write a complete review about the product, without spending some serious time with it.
Since the focus of Windows-Help.NET is on Microsoft's operating systems, I decided just to touch on a limited number of Office features in my review.
Microsoft is touting Office XP as a mayor release; with advancements to simplify the way people work, introduce customers to .NET services, implement new anti-piracy measures, and provide benefits to individuals and teams, as well as organizations of all sizes.
According to Microsoft they talked to customers and took sales-force feedback into account as primary information sources during Office XP's development.
What Microsoft found (they say) is that users spend a lot of time in tweaking and formatting content, and also that combining content from multiple Office applications, is increasingly becoming a greater part of users work.

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at Office XP's intuitive design. I had no plans initially to upgrade my Office 2000 suite, but now I'm not so sure. If you are a casual Office user, you might find that Office XP doesn't offer you all that much, but I would urge every Office user to take a serious look at Office XP.
Microsoft Office XP Launch Event
Microsoft announced that it will hold a seven-city launch event for Office XP starting May 31st. This Launch event will also include a first look at Windows XP.
