Microsoft Office XP Available

Hello Windows users,
 Microsoft Office XP has been released to retail stores this week in 15 countries. Also available are several Office XP-family products, including Microsoft Visio® 2002 drawing and diagramming software, Microsoft MapPoint® 2002 business mapping software, Microsoft Publisher 2002, and the Microsoft FrontPage® 2002 Web-site creation and management tool. More than 100 Web presence providers are also supporting FrontPage 2002-based Web sites.

New Office Document Imaging Tool in Office XP
Microsoft have announced Office Document Imaging, a new tool included in more than 20 language versions of Microsoft® Office XP. The tool gives users the ability to integrate hard-copy documents into their Office XP workflow. Users can scan and index paper documents within Office XP to search and retrieve them for reference, or to integrate the recognized text into their Office applications. Office Document Imaging makes it easier for users to find and reuse paper-based corporate knowledge.

Microsoft has updated a patch that eliminates a security vulnerability in the HyperTerminal application that ships with Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Me and Windows 2000.
