Last week I asked you to participate in a small survey, to help me determine what your preferences are for the kind of information you want in this Newsletter.
So far over 900 of you have given your opinion, that's around 5% of our readers. If you didn't fill out the little survey, please browse to the survey page, and participate!
To all who participated: Thanks!
There were not many surprises for me, although I had not expected the number of Outlook users to surpass the Netscape Messenger users! To be honest, I have no idea how this Newsletter looks in Outlook (I use Outlook Express... it suits my needs), so when I have some spare time (yea right!), I'll install a copy to check!
Then I noticed a curious thing, 3 people (so far) rated the Newsletter as being of poor quality. Now that's fine, you have your opinion, but you know that you can unsubscribe right? You have all the information at the bottom of each Newsletter. In case you are wondering, yes, a text-only version is also available! When you unsubscribe from the HTML version, you will receive a confirmation, and this will also contain instructions on how to subscribe to the text version.
There is one more thing I wanted to share with you right now. Some of you send me comments, and asked if it would be possible to receive virus alerts when they happen.
Now we already do that, but not using the Newsletter. We offer commercially-run announcement lists, one of them being the Internet: Viruses list. If you subscribe to that list, we will send you information about virus outbreaks, as soon as we have the information. There is one more thing you need to know: we only send warnings of the more serious virus threats. To subscribe to the Internet: Viruses list, check your e-mail address, and press Sign-up!
